Weaving light. This piece has one hand-sanding direction, which changes with the light, and is a piece to be experienced and lived.

As a Colombian artist with a background in fashion, I’m interested in reconnecting with the visual and material traditions I grew up around but had not previously explored in my own work. This piece draws from the repetition, geometry, and rhythm found across Colombian textile and craft traditions, without replicating a specific traditional motif. Through aluminum and directional sanding, I reinterpret those principles through my own contemporary visual language.
