Weaving light. This piece has two different hand-sanding directions and changes with the light and is a piece to be experienced and lived.

Drawing from the structure of woven textiles, the piece explores the intersection of two directional systems. Each “thread” is sanded along a different axis, creating contrasting reflective qualities within the same material. As light moves across the surface, one direction becomes more visible while the other recedes, transforming a traditionally tactile language of weaving into an optical experience.
